Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

edit: if you can recreate the scenario multiple times with the same outcome (disconnect/reconnect ABS harness, erase codes, start car,no DTC, restart car, obtain DTC), then I would guess that you have an issue with your ABS module.
Leading evidence: 'on the gt3 pump' (1 discussions report identifying this cause; no attributable repair resolution). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'on the gt3 pump' (1 discussions; 1 report identifying it and 0 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Disconnect /' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Obviously ignore any other trouble codes that are associated with the brake lines being disconnected from the C2 module.

I pluged in a known good sensor (no change), both sensors ohmed out the same, then i toned out the wires and they were fine.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I pluged in a known good sensor (no change), both sensors ohmed out the same, then i toned out the wires and they were fine.
So i have been having an issue for a week or so now. I got an abs light on the cluster last week. After hooking up the piwis it showed the left front wheel sensor code 29000. So the abs unit was not seeing the sensor. I pluged in a known good sensor (no change), both sensors ohmed out the same, then i toned out the wires and they were fine. I had unplugged the abs unit harness to perform the test. After plugging it back in the the sensor showed a connection and read the wheel speed when i spun it. I was hoping it was fixed but eventhough the abs cluster light went out i had a feeling it wasnt.
The car drove fine for a week and the abs light stayed off so i went to a track day yesterday and under threshold braking the peddle got real stiff (like ice peddle) but i could push through it and then the right front tire would lock up (chirp) and the abs would kick on and the peddle felt normal. This made the car squielly but u was able to deal with it. No codes or lights popped up.
Today i put the piwis back on and it still read no codes but the left front was a 29000 again (no read). I unplug the abs computer and pluged it back in, reset the piwis and the sensor reads again and i can see vaules when u spin it.
Next i start the car and the sensor goes back to a 29000.
I am thinking the electronics on the pump r bad? I think reseting the pump allows it to read the sensor but it doesnt stay connected. Anyone have any thoughts or experience with this issue?
Will you get the same result each time you do this?
Also, whats the trouble code description for 29000? I dont have a reference book available.

I read in the 996GT3 forum that this problem is on the GT3 pump. Do you still have the C2 pump? If so, maybe you could just hook up the ABS module without connecting the brake lines and see if this problem can be recreated. I think itd be a quick way to eliminate whether the module is the culprit. Obviously ignore any other trouble codes that are associated with the brake lines being disconnected from the C2 module.
