Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Perhaps there will be an S along in a little while that will run the old GTS outputs or thereabouts.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
31 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

A very clever use of Hybrid ... 400v electric turbocharger delivering over 100 ft lbs from tick-over, adding 50+ bhp electric drive from the 1.9 kWh battery whilst also driving power hungry accessories such as aircon ... all for a 50KG weight penalty.

Agreed, Porsche doing what Porsche do, some clever engineering. I don't mind saying the whole offering inc visuals etc of the 992.2 leave me stone cold.

Better get out there quick and buy a manual 992.1 GTS or even better a manual 4GTS before they all get snapped up.!!
The manuals were always at the bottom of the market so I doubt you'll have a problem

Even 991.2 gt3’s?
I'm going to be pleading with SWMBO tonight..
The GTS indeed now has teeth as stated earlier. My humble skills wouldn't need more than 530 Bhp and 0-62 in sub 3.0...
Goes back to the configurator....

How long is a 1.9 KwH battery useful for?
Regeneration via brakes and turbo heat management, a mortal wouldn't really empty the battery.
Think the ring attempt depleted the battery after 7:17.00!
Was mentioned by the Engineer on the Savagegeese video

what about 992.1 Turbo? a slot with discount must be very close to specced new GTS without all the hybrid gubbins and quicker and more torque

The 991.2 GTS managed a 7.23, but I guess progress is gradual.
The top gear video suggested that there is no regen from braking. Makes sense as a lot of extra gubbins would have been required. Maybe it’s a beefed up alternator.
Base Carrera now more or less on par with my 991.2 GTS on performance and with lots of what were previously options as standard.
Adding a few bits and bobs that I wouldn’t want to live without gets it to about £110k.
I’ve been offered one of the early allocations and weighing up whether to proceed…

That’s a bloody good call actually.. just had a look £156k for a 25 mile one at London OPC or £139k for a 5000 mile one

But it looks like it’s just the standard carrera engine not hybrid running at 395ps

Yes, looks like the current engine with a remap.

It is not. For what it's worth, it's not just a map. It has the turbos from the .1 GTS and the intercooler from the Turbo. Perhaps there will be an S along in a little while that will run the old GTS outputs or thereabouts.

Thank you for the info. Must catch up on the vids tonight. Still playing on the configurator!

I read that it didn't have regenerative braking and that the motor to drive the turbo was used as a generator when at higher power levels to charge the batteries at up to 10kW. Around 11 bhp continuous ?
Based only on arithmetic, if the max power assist is around 50kW then a full battery would last 2 to 3 minutes continuously flat out ... of course this is rarely the case ...

Just the 992.1 GTS we were discussing, although you can also apply it to other cars like the Cayman GT4
