Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi, Can anyone tell me if I am able to fit 987 Cayman R shocks and springs, front and rear, to my Boxster S 987.1 please? From what I have been able to find out so far there shouldn't be any problems, but would love to hear from anyone who has actually done it. Thanks

POST 2Original post

I fitted Boxster Spyder shocks and springs to my 987.2 . No problems at all. I never looked to see if they're the same parts as the Cayman R but the idea is the same. Easy to do, except the front sway bar if you're doing that as well.

POST 3Original post

Thanks Adam, that is really helpful, I hadn’t thought of using Spyder shocks. I just need to confirm that there is no difference in the shock mountings between a 987.1 and 987.2 Boxster .
