As advertised, the headliner on my 2008 gave in to the hot Texas Summer and fell...
Anyone in the Fort Worth, Texas area refer me to someone who does quality work on headliners?
Thanks!
Can't help much on a specific shop in TX, but a couple of pertinent comments from my '
06 Cayman S
. If you can find a shop through local PCA connections, great! If not, look for a shop that does a wide variety of upholstery, including custom work. They will be better able to capture the contours of the headliner. I used a shop in Asheville, NC that was in the process of putting a new interior in a '31 Buick and a new convertible top on some mid-engine Ferrari. They did a great job for me. For reference, the job cost $375.
Also, I have the Stone Gray interior. When we replaced the headliner the manager and I looked about several shades of gray for the install. I went to a slightly darker gray and am very pleased.
Hope this helps in some way.
Have you thought about doing this yourself?
I watched a few videos and did mine in the spring.. Its not that hard, just takes a few hours and the right tools. The materials cost about $70, I ended up saving over $500 in labor.

If you haven't already had the headliner replaced, I can vouch for Chris's Trim Shop, on NE 28th street. The shop doesn't look like much but they did a great job, and I saw a couple of Cayennes they had in at the same time, so I would assume they're familiar with Porsches of this period.
They repaired my
987.1
with a black seude-like material they had available. It's probably not as nice as the factory Alcantara option but it's an improvement over the standard cloth to me, and the price and quality of work were excellent. If you'd like, I can send you some photos of my headliner this afternoon.
FYI..The hot weather speeds up the malfunction but it is not the root cause. My car has always been garaged and never parked in the hot sun. The glue dries out from age and get brittle. If your car is in the heat a lot it dries the glue faster and it gives way..
Thanks SC! Chris is excellent! $280 drive out. Highly recommend...
You did good. I too found a great local guy to do my 08 last summer. I had guys telling me to go to the dealer and spend $1500. Crazyness.
I did mine in my garage, and cost roughly $50 in imitation suede, and glue. Seems the foam breaks down not the glue. Have posted my journey of it on this forum.
Very satisfying doing it yourself.

Chris's Trim Shop (thanks for the tip) isn't out of the question from Plano, but a bit of a drive. Any recommendations in the Plano vicinity? Has anyone had work done at Bell's Auto Trim?
I just replaced my '08
