This for two reasons, the 8 ways are really heavy, and the drivers seat has a slight tear by the headrest which I am told cannot be repaired properly.

I have replaced the original 6 way seats in my 996.2 with 4 way heated seats. This for two reasons, the 8 ways are really heavy, and the drivers seat has a slight tear by the headrest which I am told cannot be repaired properly. The heated seats include the switches that replace the batwing. I have been living with the replacements, having simply jumped the wires for the seat belt sensors, but would like to have the reclining and heating functions working. Does anyone have any advice?
