Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

<10k miles, that is: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1246411 996.2 aero with a bit of service history. Wonder what it'll go for?

POST 3Original post

£26-30k seems more realistic than the £45k targa that was posted recently for a car with similarly low mileage.

POST 4Original post

16 years old and it has had 4 services. It does have the rare dry sump option though. MC

POST 5Original post

This is one of the biggest annoyances of trawling through ads. The number claiming to have "full dealer service history" based on mileage alone is comical. I saw a C2 for almost £16K claiming full dealer history. The book was photographed proudly displaying that the last service, albeit 7,000 miles ago, was in 2003! 17 effing years on the same oil?!

POST 8Original post

Nonsense ad, so much so it would put me off, but at least it also had the all important belt change.

POST 9Original post

Quote Ad " ...It's also 80kg lighter than the air-cooled 993 predecessor, which is 50% wobblier... " ' wobblier ' I think someone ran out of vocabulary writing that one...

POST 10Original post

That's the trouble when people use this motorsport technical jargon?!?😂

POST 11Original post

I recently did a service on a 1964 Porsche 356 that had oil that was 20 years old. I had to persuade the owner to change it. It was like treacle, but ran fine. Not good in modern cars.

POST 12Original post

Shame about the service history. A C4S with 20,000 miles went for £35K last year at the classic. Was immaculate but mechanically needed work. Times have changed but I can see this going for around £30K.

POST 13Original post

That driver's seat RH bolster looks like it has done a bit more than 10,000 miles.

POST 14Original post

may be a mileage adjustment before each MOT/service
