Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I think I will try to change my visors to leather once I get the car.
Leading evidence: 'Replace visors' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace visors' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Having seen about 8 different Cayman combinations in the 'flesh' I've managed to get a pretty good idea of what options stand out as making most difference to the car - visually! (I've not driven one so no opinion on ride yet). Hopefully this will help you when finalising your spec.
Simply they are:
Full leather - The biggest disapointment for me with the standard car is the instrument cowling. Unlike the Boxter where the cowling is in the same soft touch material as the dash in the Cayman it is a hard plastic, with a fairly sharp edge. It looks pretty cheap! Now I know why you never see any publicity cars with anything less than full leather.
Sport seats - They really look the part. More stitching and better looking shape.
Sport steering wheel - Feels thicker and is smaller than the standard wheel. Much better if you've got long legs too.
19' wheels - I've not gone for this option, but I'd have to admit the bigger wheels fill out the arches better.
Visually, PCM makes a big difference too. It takes up lots of prime real estate. I don't want PCM functionality, but was tempted by the looks alone.
People thought cell phones in cars were cool at one point, I think the industry will grow out of screens in the car... but today, it's a wow factor.
Don't agree with full leather. Awful lot of money for some stiching on the cowl. 19's are nice but won't be whenyou hit first pothole/kerb. I had 19' wheels on my M3 and they were impossible to keep clear of 'dings' on the rim. 18' wheels look pretty good in the flesh. The sports seats are actually more comfortable than the standard seats and the sports wheel is a must have! I originally thought about seal grey or red but now will be ordering basalt black as it is stunning in the flesh. Another good option would be a sports exhaust as the standard one isn't that pretty.
I have to agree with Barry about the leather on the cowl, for 2K I would rather have 19' wheels. I wonder what the gap is on the 18' wheels? Anybody measure it yet?
Russ
Personally I much prefer full leather and I like the 18" wheels better (can always get 19" later if I choose). I think the full leather is certainly personal preference, but I think it has a more significant impact on a sand beige interior than black. Full leather was a must have for me in this car, especially when I chose sand beige.
I actually tried to add full leather, but it was rejected as my build date was moved forward. I really had no idea how difference it would have made, I just love the smell. I think I will try to change my visors to leather once I get the car.
Russ
So what does full leather actually add besides the cowl? Where can I find info on this? I am unsure of whether I want full leather or not. From the pictures, I think it's just the cowl, dashboard, and the stereo/instrument surround that becomes leather. Am I right or is there more?
Hi Russ,
You can get the order guide from renntech.org @
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?act=module&module=dlmanager&cat=1
The order guide shows things that are not in the online configurator. That's where I got the code XNG from.
BTW - you may need to be registered and logged on for that link to work

Keith & K-Man,
The order guide would be for new cars being ordered, before they are built. I want to know how to add some leather parts once I receive my car that is already now in production.
Thanks Russ
