Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

19 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did and recieved it. It came without the alum. insert piece and top. Am I supposed to take this off the old shifter? If so how do I get it off? Thanks

POST 2Original post

I bought one like that as well... sent it back and got a CF shift **** from suncoast ****

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Can you elaoborate as to why you sent it back? The quality seems good. How much is the Suncoast one?

POST 4Original post

John, I could not figure out how to put it on my shifter...the Sincoast one was assembled with a new leather boot and Al trim...much nicer IMO. Price is posted in the link.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I don't see a link...(except to your pictures) Nice BTW

I also got one from Suncoast. It is a high quality OE part. Looks great!! Plus it must be at least an ounce lighter than my old shift ****..

LMAO...yeah, but that $400 is what connects you to the car...that was my excuse. It is a nice piece BTW.

Feels good doesn't it.... Worth every penny.

POST 12Original post

Would feel even better if it was on top of a $300 short shifter. That's a $700 connection. Any onr want to raise the anti with sport seats?

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, I am sending the performance producs stuff back (shifter and handbrake) The carbon is nice but it's NOT factory porsce and it does NOT come with the aluminum inserts. I will have to go with suncoast. I know seven fitty is alot for a shifter and handbrake my previous owner decided tha burlwood would look good in a red and black car. NOPE!

POST 15Original post

Yikes, that is terrible. The suncoast shifter should look 100Xs better. I'm just about to install a B&M SSK, I'm also considering changing the shifter ****--it's tough to justify though. this one seems nice too: http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...e=996turboknob

POST 16Original post

you're gonna love the BM SSK. i used to have an s2000 and i almost prefer the feel of the 996 shifter because it is precise slot shifting action.

John Henry - Why in the world would you send that back?

POST 18 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The shifter and handbrake in the photo (wood) are what came from the factory...Thats the way the car was orded. You see now why I am anxious to get it out of there....

Yes I can understand that, which is why I added the "roll eyes" smiley on my previous post.
