Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

As the title really, after a night ebay purchase I have a complete 718 exhaust tip and wanted to know if it would fit my 987.2 2.9 It 'looks' very similar, but has more open internals and seems to have a slightly different angle It needs a good clean though before I try it

POST 2Original post

I don't have an answer for you but good luck swapping it. Hopefully your exhaust flange bolts are not rusted and can be taken out easily. I replaced my tip with a Fabspeed tip, elected to use the "spreader" method...took awhile as I learned to remove the "right bolts" along the way. Still tooks waaaay longer than anticipated. Post some pics when you are done!

POST 3Original post

Looks like you have your work cut out for you in cleaning that stuff up. Hopefully it will fit and look good once you get it done.

POST 4Original post

Well that took a lot of elbow grease! now cleaned up and looking respectable- can’t find any confirmation of it fits the car or not so will wait until it’s drier and if the exhaust bolts come off ok on my car, I’ll give it a go. I’ve soaked the bolts on this one in wd40 , just in case
