Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
The carbon airbox is the only obvious tell tale sign that is visible, apart from the PSE all other changes are internal - mostly different heads and engine map.
Leading evidence: 'Replace are internal - mostly different heads and engine map' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace are internal - mostly different heads and engine map' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Bit miffed I didn't get the luggage set when I bought it s/hand though.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This has got me thinking about how my 40th Anni gets its 25 extra ponies. Pretty sure it doesn't have anywhere near the mods of the X51 kit but presumably it's got some of the parts in common?
How much extra power does the X51 give?
Realy??
Looks to me like it's only got 2 rads rather than the 3 implied by the X51 description. Maybe that's the only difference.
I guess I'll have a look on the options sticker under the bonnet tonight and see what's on there!
Certainly on the 997 there are no changes to the rads. The carbon airbox is the only obvious tell tale sign that is visible, apart from the PSE all other changes are internal - mostly different heads and engine map.
Thanks for confirming Stuart. So I guess I am a member of the X51 club
I'm off to hunt out my "special dynamic sealed panels" now.
Bit miffed I didn't get the luggage set when I bought it s/hand though.
The facelift (3.6) has the improved airflow/rad vent area of the turbo and hence has no additional requirement for cooling, as opposed to the prefacelift (3.4) which has smaller slitty vents and requires extra cooling via third central rad in GT3 and X51 equipped cars (including "Carrera Cup"/"Power Up" designated models in other countries).
X51 3.6 (including 40 Jahre) only have two rads
I have the X51 option in mine, 3.4 N/A.
Though not having the car very long i'm starting to think it's holding back, not as quick as i thought it might be. Nothing to compare this with, just don't feel right.
