Just wondered if any one has had this done to their Turbo/4S, as I'm thinking of having some fitted when my centre rad gets replaced next week..

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

15 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 2Original post

Chickens and vacum cleaners suddenly spring to mind Round 2 anyone?

POST 3Original post

Do you think mesh would cut down on airflow at all? would certainly keep all the leaves etc out.

POST 4Original post

Airflow isn't a problem, and prevent foreign object damage to the very soft radiators is important Bumper off jobbie, most indy's can do this

POST 5Original post

its a easy job to remove the bumper. I take my bumber off every mth or so to clean out the crap

POST 6Original post

I don't remove my bumper and enjoy the undisiturbed look of front end as the good doctors designers meant it to be I let all the cooling air in Once in a while I vac out the debris If the radiator fails I get a get a new one(none required as yet) The choice is really yours.

POST 7Original post

POST 14Original post

Halfords stock several different styles of mesh sheet, just need some tin-snips or side cutters. You can get some professional double sided tape that may do the job. http://www.tapes-direct.co.uk/index.php?main_page=index&cP ath=139_170 :dont know:

If you Google for "996 mesh grilles", you'll find that the first hit is a comprehensive illustrated PDF that Bob Spratley put together when he put grilles on his 996 RS. It's available in the members only section of the PCGB forum and I have made available a public copy on my server I also have an illustrated step-by-step guide to Turbo bumper removal available if required. Just PM me.
