Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Good Afternoon all, I need your expertise! I have a slight squeak from the steering wheel when turning left or right on the road. It also makes the same noise when parked. The car had a full service in March/April, so I don't believe it's the power steering fluid in the engine compartment. Do you have any suggestions? The weather has started to get colder and this has only just happened. Could it be weather related? or something more serious?

POST 2Original post

Is it from the actual wheel? Have you tried releasing your steering adjustment under the steering wheel and moving the wheel around a bit.

POST 3Original post

I’ve not tried adjusting the steering wheel, so I’ll give that a go. The squeak only happens when you turn it even when I shift it left and right whilst parked. It’s odd I must admit, and it only started today. I’ll give your suggestion ago in the morning. If you think of anything else let me know please 🙏
