My '01 996 is taking shape. So far the Assimetricos have been replaced by MPSCs... (I am convinced that Assimetrico is Italian for "***-end-into-armco".. ) anyway... PSS9s installed and car corner weighted and aligned, rear "seats" removed, Sparco Milanos installed this weekend. BTW: the factory leather, electric, memory seats weigh in just over 60lbs!! Sparco harness bar on the way with Sparco harnesses.... The seat installation was tough, no, it was a total PAIN, but they ended up looking nice! Some pics:

Thanks. I didn't see the seats until they came out of the box so I think I got lucky on the interior color, it matches the interior nicely and matches the carpet almost perfectly (and thought it does not show, the headliner is black Alcantera). The Sparcos weigh in at just under 46lbs with all the brackets attached... It might not be exact, but that is balancing them on the bathroom scale. Basically I just saved about the weight on one of the seats and I am not sliding around in the car now. Anyone contemplating the same seats in a 996, PM me and I can give more info on how to get them to fit without the trial and error I went through. Next is an Odyssey battery and Fabspeed exhaust and I think I may be down about as much as I am going to get without major surgery...
