Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

I know this is silly… I’m typically able to find anything and everything online, but I can’t find this piece. It holds the carpet over the rear light access. I’ve tried every search term I can think of, but can’t find one to purchase. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

POST 2Original post

Maybe if you provided the year and model someone could find it in PET. Hint: add some car info to your signature so in the future you won't have to remember to post it. Also, a photo of that piece installed (maybe the other side if it is broken) would help identify. Unfortunately some of the attachment hardware is not available separately, it would be a component part of the replacement unit.

POST 3Original post

You’re right. Quite the noob mistake. :-( It’s an 08 Boxster. It’s in the trunk and holds the carpet cover over the back tail light access. It fits on top of the screws that secure the tail light assembly to the car. I will post a pic of it installed today. Thank you for the advice!
