Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

When I reassembled the light cluster (minus bolt as after 6pm and all shops shut) it still did not work.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone. A little assistance please. Doing a routine check today noticed that the rear offside fog lamp was not illuminated. ( at this point I did assume that the car has two rear fogs) I promptly went and purchased the requisite bulb for a quid, removed the rear cluster aka the manual, dropped the fixing bolt down the rear drain and spent a fruitless hour trying to retreave it! When I reassembled the light cluster (minus bolt as after 6pm and all shops shut) it still did not work. Checked existing bulb in nearside cluster and OK. Hmmm, checked Adrian Streathers tome and in the fuse section it describes a fuse for the rear fog light singular! Any advice for micro problem would help. Regards M

POST 2Original post

Only one fog light is connected - it should be the offside (driver's side) on RHD cars. For some reason, they fit a bulb to both sides at the factory.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard Thanks alot now all I need to resolve is the bolt issue! looks like asunday Halfords trip! Thanks again Regards M :worship:
