As it's 5 years old I can't see any warranty being of use so it's time to get another frustratingly.

I assume it's just the top gel coat that's cracked? If it's the CF itself, there's been a problem with the layup or autoclave process which should be classed as a manufacturing fault.

That's correct, the carbon sheet itself is ok, the resin has cracked. As it's 5 years old I can't see any warranty being of use so it's time to get another frustratingly. Better things to spend the money on!
