Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Changed the plugs today....one of the Spark Plug Socket Connectors had oil in and around it. Any ideas? Pic of connector: http://986forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=15601&stc=1&d=1320797348

POST 2Original post

Oring's on the spark plug tube's need to be replaced. Heat and time kill em. Easy to do.

POST 3Original post

What year is your car? 2002 and previous years had a sleeve for each spark plug the orings leak on either end. R&R the sleeve with porsche special tool or a small hooked oring puller and replace the 2 orings. 03 and later nolonger have a sleeve. There is an oil seal between the head and valve cover a little more complicated the valve cover has to be removed, and the seal replaced.
