Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Something weird happened both yesterday and today which were particularly cold days here in NY (~15 deg F). My car started right up after sitting overnight. Everything was smooth and normal. After parking for a few minutes while doing errands, after being totally warmed up, the car started but immediately stalled. Another 2-3 attempts did the same thing--start then immediate stall. Having had a mechanical fuel injection Alfa Romeo I very consciously DO NOT EVER touch the gas pedal when starting the car. In the Alfa this would have meant immediate flooding and not a chance of starting the car. Until now this worked fine for every car I have had but in this case I could not keep the car started without revving the gas like an old-time, non-computer controlled modern car. Am I doing something wrong or could there be an issue? Thanks for your thoughts.

POST 2Original post

Hey Brett, Were there any check engine lights thrown afterwards? Did the car run roughly after you got it going? How much gas was in the tank overnight? Last year at this same time I got a misfire on one bank of cylinders after leaving 1/2 a tank in the car for two weeks in the cold. Filled it with new gas and it hasn't happened again. Dealer couldn't find anything...
