I fitted this for a friend, used the original trim from around the climate to make a trim insert that now clips between the radio and vents, wrapped it in cloth tape to prevent annoying squeeks :frustrated:

No there are no gaps at all....i used the cage that came with the surround it was a straight replacement and it's a universal kit for JVC, Pioneer, Kenwood etc...the hardest part was getting the surround to fit the heat controls but with a little care everything went into place..i will get you the part number tomorrow from dreamice......i would like to get a Porsche decal to put over the bottom of the surround..if anyone can help...

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
