Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Leading evidence: 'Check cars' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Check cars' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

just curious, though, do you know if the ac unit actually still runs even if it's clearly blowing out warm/hot air with the snowflake still showing running on auto mode?

To get my car cool in the summer, I have to set the auto temp to 68 or so.

Now that the weather's getting colder, I'd like to start using the auto climate feature on the car.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Now that the weather's getting colder, I'd like to start using the auto climate feature on the car. But when I press auto, the AC turns on. Any way to disable AC, but still have auto on for convenience sake?
excellent, thx for the explanation fellas. just curious, though, do you know if the ac unit actually still runs even if it's clearly blowing out warm/hot air with the snowflake still showing running on auto mode?
If the snowflake is on the compressor is running. Warm "dry" (air conditioned) air is the best way to defrost windows in the winter. Regardless of the temp, if the snowflake is showing the compressor is running.
I think the AC will shut itself off in auto mode only when outside temps dip below ~40F. When it does, the snowflake disappears, and I don't believe you can activate the AC again unless the temps increase.

LOL this feels like a locker room damn just grilling my ****
i'm really not a bad guy sniff
btw, are you guys having to turn up the temp to 75F+ to get any sort of heat going? i figured if i set it at 70F and it's 60F out the sucker would pump out some heat, but it was kinda weak until i hit +
Not sure how accurate the temp setting is. To get my car cool in the summer, I have to set the auto temp to 68 or so. In my Honda, 72 keeps the car cool. So I guess it's just a matter of finding the setting that keeps you comfy.
As for the heat, maybe if you put on a long sleeved shirt, instead of a wife beater...
While the manual says the AC does not operate in the auto mode under certain temperatures, the snowflake will still appear on the screen when hitting the auto button even when the outside temp is below the zero.
