Great price though + lighter, faster ratio (0-60), cheaper tires, can lower the car another 1/2in (less drag, and probably the same top end).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

http://miami.craigslist.org/pts/434676037.html If only I had the spare cash right now, suffering from 944 track car cash drain syndrome (TCCDS).

Great price though + lighter, faster ratio (0-60), cheaper tires, can lower the car another 1/2in (less drag, and probably the same top end). So what are the disadvantages on 17in wheels again?

POST 5Original post

Quotes source post: 4628870

They look a bit odd on the 996. I had 17" snow tires and the car just looks - not right.

POST 7Original post

Got a picture? This is tempting. Can I assume that the 17" will fit fine on the 996, correct offset and all that from a 993? Michael

POST 8Original post

There's an identical post in the Los Angeles Craigslist. http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/pts/434671108.html

You do need spacers. I used 6mm front and 25mm rear to fill them out.

Ah! Thanks for the info. I'm pretty much anti-spacer. Plus, since this ad is now showing up in two different large markets I'm suspecting that it may be a scam. I'll just stick with what I got and save up my money for new tires. Michael
