Suggestion

Can't tell if you have an S or 2.7 -- Pagid doesn't make Yellows for 2.7, so I use Pagid "Sports" for the track and OEM for street.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Light came on the other day (at the top of a long canyon, perfect timing). What's good for a car that's both a DD and a track day car? I may be able to get a bro deal on factory pads, is this the way to go?

POST 2Original post

The Pagid yellows are fine track pads. It's easy to swap them in and out before & after the track events. I use OEM on the street, and Pagid yellows on the track.

POST 3Original post

Can't tell if you have an S or 2.7 -- Pagid doesn't make Yellows for 2.7, so I use Pagid "Sports" for the track and OEM for street. Works fine, as Fort said as well.

POST 4Original post

I use Hawk HPS for street and Blue for track; pretty good performance and durability.

POST 5Original post

I have an S. What's involved in sawpping? I only do maybe 1-3 track days a year, so I don't have wheels or tires or anything...

POST 6Original post

Sean - I would suggest you take a look through the "competition" forum - there are many, many threads discussing this exact topic, and several references that talk about how to swap brake pads for street/track. One of these threads was just in the last week or so. Here's one to get you started... http://www.planet-9.com/cayman-tech/26563-help-buying-brake-pads-original-not-what-else.html brad
