Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Have to make sure it will fit in the garage...

POST 3Original post

Drive it. You can or will build a new garage!

POST 5Original post

Wait a second, the mirrors fold in? I was under the impression that they do not fold? Right now I have a 2007 5 series but have to fold both mirrors, so it will fit in my tiny garage! Life in San Francisco

POST 6Original post

On the 2006 they do fold; manually, not electrically. Suggest confirming this feature on any newer model you consider.

POST 7Original post

This is great info, thanks! If anyone else could chime in for 2007 and 2008 models if the side mirrors can be folded in manually or electrically? Plus could someone please post a pic with the mirrors folded in. I am very interested to see what it looks like.... just curious! Thanks again ed1:cheers:

POST 10Original post

WOW, the random facts that you find out about your car on these posts. Now did each of you run out to the garage and test your mirrors and measure your car? Any excuse to be around the Cayman !

POST 11Original post

Didn't need to test. I read the manual. But I did go measure (with weighted string to marks on floor) to help a fellow member. If you don't modify or track your car, you grab any chance to participate, no matter how pittiful.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
