I'm 3 months into my ownership (2004 C4S) and I've started to put right the things with the car that have been getting on my nerves, The alloys, that need a re-furb and the interior, which the previous owner had let get a bit tatty with both scuff marks and what turned out to be coke (the drink!) over three of the seats.

I spent two weekends using leather cleaners and conditioners and they made no real difference, so a friend of mine recommended a furniture restoration company in Leeds to me.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm 3 months into my ownership (2004 C4S) and I've started to put right the things with the car that have been getting on my nerves, The alloys, that need a re-furb and the interior, which the previous owner had let get a bit tatty with both scuff marks and what turned out to be coke (the drink!) over three of the seats. I spent two weekends using leather cleaners and conditioners and they made no real difference, so a friend of mine recommended a furniture restoration company in Leeds to me. A couple of weeks a go their guy turned up had a look around and told me that the interior would need to re-painted, he took a leather sample (the cubby cover) for a paint match and turned up very early (6.30 a.m.) last Saturday with a compressor gun and the paint. He then spent the best part of three hours re-spraying the seats and door liners, finishing with a clear protective coat. The results were remarkable and far beyond what I expected and by the time he'd finished there was quite a crowd, Milkman, Postman, Neighbours, all stood round loving his work. Here's some pics. Alloys are in today so I'll post some pics when they get back
