Suggestion

I use a small allen key through one of the holes and then gently pull - don't tug as you'll crack the cap......Or as you say if the wheel is off then push from behind.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Had my wheel centre caps nicked last night  Have been looking around and they are pricey to replace (circa £40 each) Any advice on repacements ? any one know of reasonabley priced locking ones ? (no laghighing ok) :hand:

POST 2Original post

I've got a set of Carrera 4 Inserts you can have if you pay the postage. When Sundeep gets up the 911UK.Com Charity Account you can put a couple of bob in the tin then. If you want to go ahead give me a PM. Best Regards Big Bob

POST 3Original post

Have a look on fleabay. Most are cheap knockoffs but there are some originals where poeple have changed them for a different style or have spares. I haven't heard of any that lock, but I suppose you could glue the centre to the wheel. TB

POST 4Original post

I got a set of almost pristine coloured centre caps on ebay for under 70 quid.

POST 5Original post

Just perhaps E Bay is encouraging people to steal them off Forum Members cars to sell back to them at a profit to crime :cop: This is a very worrying possibility :wack: Regards Big Bob :bye:

POST 6Original post

I agree with Bob and would discourage purchasing any used ones from fleabay. If they are new in packaging, then probably fine. I have actually been thinking of replacing the grey ones on my car with coloured and Porsche Shop have the metal ones at £24.50 or plastic at £17.95 (both + VAT) http://www.porscheshop.co.uk/acatalog/wheel_center_caps_porsche.html Edited to add: just found a set of metal coloured centre caps for £70 + VAT from Jasmine PorscheLink UK http://www.jasmine-motorsport.co.uk/shop/html/porschewheels/wheels accessories.htm BTW mdasey, we're nearly neighbours (I'm midway between Chislehurst & Bromley) so dissapointed to hear about the thieving little ar$ewipes in this area. Just glad that mine is garaged. Clive

POST 8Original post

i actually need a couple for my car. how do these come off?, i have 2 small holes in the crest, do you need a special tool, because i thought you would need to take the wheel off and push them out from the back?!

POST 9Original post

I use a small allen key through one of the holes and then gently pull - don't tug as you'll crack the cap......Or as you say if the wheel is off then push from behind.
