Have a 2000 996 C4.This last month or so starting to get a load rattle noise on very low revs ie going in and out of garage or into a parking space slowly.Normal driving going through the gears etc it does everything it should.If when the noise starts I give a few more revs the noise gets very faint but then the speed picks up so I am using the clutch to control the speed.It happens if I am in 1st gear or reverse

Any chance of a sound clip ? Noises can be anything from tappets to exhaust shields . If a rattle from the gearbox that goes away when clutch depressed then it might be the release bearing .. usually this is just annoying .. again a sound clip would help a lot .
