Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
...I have just installed a SBv3 in my tiptronic and having driven it a few times now I can say objectively that it sharpens up the throttle response which in turn encourages the gearbox to change gear more quickly, seamlessly and intuitively...this leads to a really enjoyable driving experience...
Leading evidence: 'Replace gear more quickly, seamlessly and intuitively...this leads' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Replace gear more quickly, seamlessly and intuitively...this leads' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I had this conversion done back in 2013 or so on my 996.2 Targa, using a 3-spoke wheel and transferring in the Tip switch wiring.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys
I'm about to attempt the Mercedes flappy paddle mod, I thought I saw info on how to do it on here.🤔
But I've looked and can't for the life of me find it.
Can anyone help please.
Simon
Got this on my 9977.1 c2S previous owner had fitted believe, must say looks good, wouldn't know wasn't original, and also works well and imo better position than the original steering wheel position, only drove one other with the original buttons but much nicer feel
Flappy paddles
Thanks so much for your replies guys, I will let you know how I get on.
My cars pushing out over 500 up, so really deserves paddles in my opinion 😉

...agree I have the paddles and have just instead V3 Sprintbooster which has transformed the responsiveness of the generally languid tiptronic gear change...
So cool to see the Merc shift paddle conversion still being done. I had this conversion done back in 2013 or so on my 996.2 Targa, using a 3-spoke wheel and transferring in the Tip switch wiring. At the the time, it was one of the first cars to undergo the conversion and I certainly felt it improved the driving experience!!
It's a device which is fitted inline between the throttle pedal and ECU, typically just above the pedal.
It takes the signal from the pedal and modifies it so the ECU sees a larger (or smaller signal), it's the equivalent of pressing harder on the pedal.
It changes the response curve of the potentiometer of your throttle.

I'm typically cynical about mods and this is the only one I have subjected my 996 to...thus feel able to state without hyperbole that it's worth the £200 ...makes a positively significant improvement...
The single caveat is unless you are a Borrower or your day job is as a Circus Contortionist fitting it is a literal pain in the neck! It's only a couple of connections however these are buried under the dashboard!!
...one more comment; I have the Mercedes flappy paddles conversion (ok 2nd mod) but the gearbox is now so intuitively responsive that I haven't used the paddles!?

Me too. I could have/of saved the £600 flappy paddle conversion & just gone with the SBV3
Even my Indie likes it !
