Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone seen this? http://www.navtv.com/manuals/MOSTAUXPOR/MOST AUX Instructions.pdf Looks like a possible solution for people that want a high quality aux input, but don't need the iPod control (say for Sirius radio). I have an e-mail in to NAV-TV to find out about price and availability. Since it only deals with audio, it should be cheaper than the Dension, but higher quality than an FM modulator.

POST 2Original post

So much for being cheaper... here is the e-mail from nav-tv.. Brad, Mostauxporsche is available and the price is $400. Susanne Lazarev Account Relations Manager/ Sales 100 N.W. 11th Street Unit A Boca Raton, Florida 33432 [phone removed] ext 119 Please join our new forum! NAV-TV Forums - Index

POST 3Original post

Looks like a pretty good solution! As you said I think good ipod control is a lot more involved and involves sharing more data than just audio, but for an aux input (ie sat radio) this is idea. Nice find.

POST 4Original post

The Dension has aux inputs, ipod control, can play audio from USB drives, bluetooth capability, and prob. more, for only ~$50 price premium. Seems like a small savings given the relatively limited functionality.

POST 5Original post

I'm also interested in feedback from folks that have installed and use one of the MOST adapters for the iPod. From my research, there are at least 5 units on the market (Dension, Nav-TV, Dice, NEO Pi-P, and mObridge) and all appear to be relatively new to market, with sparse documentation and dealer support. Pricing varies from mid $400 to >$700 and it is not clear how they compare to each other (i.e. which is the best value when one considers functionality, installation ease, upgrade options, and sound quality (in no particular order)). Thanks!

POST 6Original post

adapters i've had the ability to see both in action and owned the navtv...the dension is a better unit and is less prone to freezing up...as for the 5 options, dice and dension are the same unit, as is neo and navtv...don't know about the last one you mentioned but the choice is really between dension and navtv, with dension being more reliable!

POST 7Original post

This helps a lot! I did not consider the clone factor... I was leaning toward the Dension, so this clenches it- unless something else appears before I commit. Thanks!

POST 8Original post

I too am leaning towards the Dension now, but CES starts tomorrow so I'm waiting to see if an AVIC-D4 or something really interesting is announced. I can wait a week Chris

POST 9Original post

Hi all, I've had the Mobridge unit installed for a while now after having a number of NAV-TV units that all had issues. I chose the Mobridge unit after some searching on the web and reading some user feedback reviews. The Mobridge unit was all that I exepcted and have never had an issue with it such as the problems I had with NAV-TV plus it has more features and also is Apple certified. The audio is also of an excellent quality. Theres also a Parrot update coming that allows hardware upgrading of the Mobridge, so I'm on the waiting list for this also. As always do some research, but the Mobridge unit is well worth looking at. - Muddyt

POST 10Original post

The folks at Nav-TV seemed like they might do a group buy discount on the MOST-AUX unit. Now, with the price difference between that and the dension being $50, I would choose the Dension. But it sure seems like there should be a cheaper alternative for people with CDR-24s who don't need to integrate with the PCM and/or don't wish to have iPod controls in the head unit. So, at what price does a straight aux input like this become attractive in comparison to the dension for non-pcm/ non-ipod people. It needs to fit in between the price of a hard wired FM modulator, and the dension. Any electronics junkies on here want to take a look at the product from NAV-TV and see if we can build them ourselves? I mean, the thing even has an external power switch. As soon as it's on, it's what comes through the CDR-24, so it doesn't seem like $400 of sophistication, fiber optics or not.

POST 11Original post

I, too, am waiting for a AUX-IN to listen to sirius sat radio. I do not have nav and no Ipod. I do have the Bose and did the pillow stuffing to clean up the bass and it was a great improvement. Right now I am dealing with an fm transmitter because I can't rationalize paying $500 or so to get a simple aux in. The CD sounds so much better than the sirius unit now.

POST 12Original post

Can anyone tell me whether either of these units (denison / nav-tv) allow you to maintain functionality of the factory 6-disk changer?

POST 13Original post

The latest Dension GW500 (I think it's "version 3") supposedly retains changer functionality. Earlier versions don't.
