Having had a read through the article in the 911 magazine I assume I'm correct in saying these are 40NM fronts and 150NN rears, is this just a case of changing the rear springs and not worry about the helper springs ?

Yeah I did mate, I didn't even check the helper springs as I didn't think they would make any difference to the height, I did change the rear springs over for something that wasn't so hard

I did think of a longer spring for the rear, I'm already using 90nm so I assume spring weight is close enough with the spring height being 170mm, sticking with Eibach I'm sure my next option is 200mm and I think this will be to long as the PSS9 have got a specific height to be set too

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well I've ordered up Eibach 90NM springs for the rear as that seems to be the consensus, still not sure on the lift kit, the coil overs are due to arrive this coming week so I'll get a better idea when I see the set up.
I've just bought a set of used PSS9 coil overs. They come with springs and a cargraphic air lift to raise the front end.
Anyone heard of the lift kit, I've no knowledge at all but seems a good idea, do I need top mounts with these or is the lift kit part of the top mount ?
The springs on the front are [phone removed], there are also helper springs here but I can't see any part numbers. Eibach springs
The springs on the rear are [phone removed], again helper springs here but no numbers visible. Eibach springs
Having had a read through the article in the 911 magazine I assume I'm correct in saying these are 40NM fronts and 150NN rears, is this just a case of changing the rear springs and not worry about the helper springs ? What are the helper springs for, is this norm for coil overs
Well I've ordered up Eibach 90NM springs for the rear as that seems to be the consensus, still not sure on the lift kit, the coil overs are due to arrive this coming week so I'll get a better idea when I see the set up. Having read the car graphic info it seems decent enough but certainly expensive to buy new, If the kit doesn't incorporate top mounts I might not use it.
interesting, didn't know lifters were available.
Mine is on PSS10, though the ride height is quite high, around stock GT3 heights
Let us know how you get on and lots of photos of the kit + before and after please.
GT3 shocks on a C2
Well everything turned up yesterday, airlift looks like a good idea but I'm not sure I'll use it, it was used on a 996 GT3 and looking at it I don't see why it won't fit my car.
Anyone used the GT3 shocks, I've read a few different threads where it states the standard drop links are no good. I've also ordered standard strut top mounts and again I've read these are if no use, I'm not going low I just want it sitting slightly lower than MO30 if this makes any difference.
I've eventually got everything fitted and the car is back on the ground.
As mentioned I'm using Eibach ERS springs 170-60-090 on the rear, anyone know if the spring spec sounds correct. I've adjusted the coilover perch as per MI's and the rear end is low, using the datum point underneath and I'm getting approx 120mm, the springs perch's have no more to lift as there wound up to there highest point, again that's what the MI's ask for.
These are PSS9 coilovers and are for a GT3 if this makes any difference. These have the main spring as stated above and the helper spring below.
Any info would be appreciated as I'm struggling to find anything.
If you did, I was tempted by them and did some online digging about. I found a link to the pss9 handbook and it seemed like the front strut had the rear springs on, well the helper spring anyway but I may have been wrong
Yeah I did mate, I didn't even check the helper springs as I didn't think they would make any difference to the height, I did change the rear springs over for something that wasn't so hard
I saw them but I have a c4 so they're not really compatible but I was on some us site I think that I'd googled and there was a download of the full booklet, be worth getting that anyway it gives you base settings but I'm almost sure the springs appeared wrong way round. I cant massively see that would affect the ride height but possibly?! Worth a check through.
I've had a good look but I'm struggling to find the download, I contacted Bilstein and they told me to set them up as per the standard GT3 settings.
I've got the download for PSS10 which I'm led to believe is more or less the same shock. Setting the car up as per GT3 settings had the car way to low and setting them as per the PSS10 makes it just about right (much the same as Dammit has his Ohlins)
What I did notice is the when the car is sitting on the deck the rear bump stops are about 15mm from the base of the shock, surely that can't be right ?
The front sits good but again I notice the anti roll bar only has about 20mm clearance off the bottom arm, is this okay, I assume so long as there is clearance everything will move in tandem when in use.
I'm at the stage where I'm running out of ideas.
I have it on my phone!! And some other materials regarding. Pm me and we'll figure how I get that info from my phone to yours!!! I'm not a technical person sadly!
Is it the rear that is sitting too low?
I have H&R GT3 coilovers on the rear of my C2 and it's lower than I'd like, and also very very stiff. Great for drifting, but less good for ride comfort. To address it I'll be going for a longer softer spring, as without going longer but going softer, the static ride height will be too low.
Jond58 , I'll PM you just now. Thanks for help mate.
Martin996RSR, yep just the back that's lower than I'd like. I'm quite happy with the front height, ideally I'd like to go maybe 5/10mm higher all round but the rears are at there highest setting. The measurements from the floor to top of the wheel arch's are ( I know this is a rough measure but gives an idea)
rear 645mm
front 635mm
I did think of a longer spring for the rear, I'm already using 90nm so I assume spring weight is close enough with the spring height being 170mm, sticking with Eibach I'm sure my next option is 200mm and I think this will be to long as the PSS9 have got a specific height to be set too
