Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone purchased a CDC 4 CD Changer and done an installation? There seem to be some used units available at reasonable prices. Would the installation be different for various Porsche models - for example a CD4 from a Cayenne to the Cayman ?

POST 2Original post

Rockandcar, the cdc 4 installation is very easy and if you have a PCM it does not even require programming by the dealer PIWIS system. The Piwis power lead is prewired in the front boot and is behind the carpet were the cdc4 normally goes (labeled in the car). There is also a MOST connector you can tap into, you will need to buy from your dealer a harness that will connect your cdc4 to this lead.
