Update to thread. Well as the HW seems to be changing rapidly, I'm holding out. Also, I don't quite feel comfortable ordering some item without an installer lined up. Anyway, those of you who have found a good installer in the east, please let us know.

I eventually found an installer to put the GW500 into my car. His shop was recommended on another board and I am very pleased with his work. He has worked on Porsches before. Though not exactly close to home, it was worth the 1 hr drive. He installed the GW unit behind the head unit and put the iPod on a Proclip and Dension cradle. Unfortunately my old 3rd Gen Ipod is not compatible with the Dension, but I sourced a 4th Gen last night and it now works perfectly. The price was very reasonable also. Recommended.
