Hi, does anyone know anyone who rents out the 996/997 gearbox mount tool? I added a picture below off the tool in question. Just saw a load of guys who are renting these out on USA forums but could find anyone one here on the UK side doing something similar. I'll buy the Tool if not and either try renting it out or selling if not as I can't imagine a mechanic being any cheaper since to them the standard procedure is pulling out the transmission. or if anyone has had this done and it wasn't too costly can you tell me about your experience. Thanks :thumbs:

Hi, I'm looking at doing the exact job list as you so would be interested in maybe renting it from you if you go ahead and buy the tool. I have had the same luck as you trying to find a uk source for the tool, the European dealer who sells it is looking for £350. I might try and get a US friend to buy it for $299 (£235) and post it to me. I'm sure that it would rent out easily. Let me know how you get on
