Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just ordered the alexa for cars to try out, does normal alexa stuff piggybacking off your phones 3g/4g signal and gets into your stereo as an aux 3.5mm hard line or via bluetooth. Power is via USB or supplied cig socket adaptor. I'm going to have a play and see how it works when it arrives tomorrow.. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078YP59TT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_M4G9EbA8MXRV7

POST 2Original post

that is a lot of money for something your phone can already do.... You can even get a normal Echo, use a USB charger and use your phone's WIFI to connect

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

fair points i guess, but its only £50, and my phone is in my pocket and doesn't have 8 microphones yes done it with a standard echo dot in the van, worked fine, but this is a much better shape to fit into the dash cubby hole unlike an echo dot. plus you need an echo dot to put in the car which means unplugging one from my house so why would i not buy the alexa auto designed for the job when they are the same price.

POST 4Original post

Fair enough, I looked at them when first released in the US but I'll wait for some seasonal sales, £50 is way too much for what it is - at least for me
