Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

so i got aluma-look ones i am putting on. those tiny freaking screws are making me curse. why does porsche need 2819 of them under there? and now i can't seem to screw the lower ones back in -- is there some sort of tool to help me do this? it seems the screws are all of a sudden (i know, impossible) shorter than should be. before i scream and scare the neighbors... whats the trick for getting this done?

POST 2Original post

Anything you find let me know! I will be replacing my CF lids soon Good Luck!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah, enlist help of somebody with very tiny hands.

POST 4Original post

Go to renntech.org and look for it. I think it was posted there with some pics

POST 5Original post

Find a screwdriver with little clips on either side at the bottom. The clip holds the screw while you get it started and then you slide it off and finish tightening as normal. Sears should have them.

POST 6Original post

Or use a magnetized screw driver - works the same way Makes life a lot easier!

POST 7Original post

Or use a magnetizer to magnetize your existing screwdriver Another invaluable tool is a collapsable pointer with a tiny hinged mirror on the end; you can insert the mirror into areas your head could never get to and see things from a proper angle. But does any of this address the issue as stated? "it seems the screws are all of a sudden (i know, impossible) shorter than should be." Would like to know since I'm just a few days behind you in doing the same thing.
