The wiring diagram shows it is on a 30A circuit but I assume the motor will use less than this under normal conditions.

Hi All, I have changed my window regulator on my 996 MY2000. I need to make some adjustments to align the window properly. I have drained the battery a couple of times already while doing this job (not just the alignment but removal and investigation also). I just want to put a power supply onto the motor for testing. I know it uses 12v, but I don't know the amps. The wiring diagram shows it is on a 30A circuit but I assume the motor will use less than this under normal conditions. Can anyone tell me the spec of the motor? The only numbers I have from the motor are "114180-101 774.30007.41/1811805". Any help is really appreciated. Thanks all. Wayne

Hi I will be fixing the regulator on my 986 soon, and will need to program the motor to relearn the top and bottom stops. There is a procedure for this. If I find the link I will post it here. Best of luck Berni

Hi, So far I cannot see any reason to reprogram as it stopped fine at the bottom and is just a little too low an to the back of the car at the top. I can see mechanical adjustments for these and was just hoping for motor specs so I can test it multiple times before I get it correct without draining the battery. Thanks Wayne

You need to remove the stop out the regulator that has it set for a Boxster. It's a screw at the bottom of the track. If you don't the window won't drop far enough. The top position is set when you hold the up rocker switch and keep it held on for 5 seconds when it's at the top.
