probably a better plan to go with 19's in a 3 peice though...especially if they are light....not cheap to fix if you hit that pothole.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I've ordered a set of Forgeline SP3P wheels for my Cayman S - which hasn't even arrived from Germany yet! I think they look great! What do you think?

POST 2Original post

In the spirit of sharing - here's some of the specs on the wheels for those of you who might want to order your own set of 3-piece wheels. POST 4Original post

They look really hot congratz. Whats that thing in the back of the croc? A spolier? or is it the back of another car.....damn looks nice whatever it is...

POST 5Original post

Looks like the back of a G35c.... and nice wheels, congrats!

POST 6Original post

No idea what the weight will be on the wheels, but I'll ask the shop to weigh them before mounting. It would be interesting to know. I will post photos when it arrives. The car should be here by the end of this week. The H&R lowering springs will go on before we take delivery. The Forgelines have a 4-5 week build/delivery timeline. So I'll cruise around on the stock 18" for a while. After that, they'll become the weekend track wheels. P.S. That photo is *NOT* my Cayman - It's a shot a gratuitously "borrowed" from the Forgeline site. ....and that does look like a G35 that snuck into the frame of the photo.

POST 7Original post

I think they're awesome. I saw your post on ******** as well. I was kinda looking at the Fikse FM10s... but I like the these a LOT. I never liked any 5 spoke wheels on a Cayman until I saw that picture. I'm also curious about the weight. Also, do they require spacers? (I don't know what my aversion to spacers is... but it just doesn't seem to be the best way to do things. Anyone with a different view...chime in here). Also, I'm very curious about the cost. If you don't mind posting or sending me a private message, I would greatly appreciate it.

POST 8Original post

Also... something I've been wondering for long time now... Does anyone know the correct pronunciation of 'Fikse'?

POST 9Original post

They look good. They would look even better in black. Especially on a black croc. PS: I would never purchase wheels for my cars if I didn't know their weights first...

POST 10Original post

Want to see 'em in black? OK - check this link

POST 11Original post

No they don't require spacers. That's the beauty of a "high end" three piece wheel. Forgeline assembles the inner & outer halves of the wheel. You can get whatever offset you need - no spacers required. I'd rather not quote prices here, but they ain't cheap. I think you'll find them price comparable to a set of Kinesis, Fikse and maybe a little less than an HRE.

POST 12Original post

Regardless of what I think about the wheels, that is one of the first good looks I have seen on what the "aluminum accent" package looks on a Black Cayman... not sure what I think about it yet....Any more pics of the car/wheels from different angles?

POST 13Original post

they look great...bet theyd look even better in 20's... probably a better plan to go with 19's in a 3 peice though...especially if they are light....not cheap to fix if you hit that pothole.

POST 15Original post

The black Cayman is mine & I would rate the SP3P Forgeline's among the best. You will be very pleased with the workmanship & if you ever require service or have any questions, Forgeline is the best. Conrad

POST 16Original post

They look good clean. And they will likely need longer to clean ...

POST 17Original post

That's a fantastic look Conrad! You must be proud! The picture of your car on the Forgeline site made me pick up the phone and cancel my order at the TireRack for the OZ Superleggara III's. Thanks for making me "bump up" to the Forgelines! BTW - Did the specs I post match the specs of your wheels? Since each order is custom I'd like a little (re)assurance that another Cayman owner is happy driving on the same size wheel & offset as the one's I've ordered.

POST 18Original post

Mine are not quite as wide as yours: 8.5x19 ET46 10x19 ET40 And, I kept my stock tires (235/265).

POST 19Original post

I thought about it, but decided to use the stock wheels & tires on the track. When I've cooked the rubber that was delivered on the car I'll "reshoe" the stock wheels with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cups. I've used Kumho, Toyo and Hoosier R-Compound tires. I'm really looking forward to trying out the PSC's - I've heard really good things about them.

POST 20Original post

Can someone tell me if the Porsche O.E.M. hub cap fits the Forgeline wheel? If it does, we can supply some neat black hub caps with gold crest for them. If it does not fit, we will make one that does.

POST 21Original post

Well mine dont fit. So now I need a Porsche hub cap. Should I contact Forgeline or is there one that fits right up?

POST 22Original post

I like them better in black. Just my opinion. They look a bit "bling" in the poslished silver. Good looking wheel though.
