Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've been looking at getting one of these but whilst they look good do they really enhance performance? Also, how do they attach to the bootlid, could it get pinched? Thanks James

POST 2Original post

You have to drill it into the bootlid, thats what I had to do anyway. I also used black silicon to seal it on otherwise you don't get a good bond. On a NA-non-GT3 engine I don't think it makes that much difference, certainly not the +15bhp that a GT3 gets above a certain speed (100mph?). But they also have the carbon fibre air ram guide to the cup filter. What it does on a NA is shove more cold air into the air box snorkle and hence into the engine, which can't hurt... It looks good though :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Only the Mk1 has ability to use the CF air guide into the Cup filter, the RS and the Mk2 just have to make do with the standard GT3 airbox.

POST 4Original post

You learn something everyday... I know the MKII gets a performance advantage from the boot lid scoop so I guess it would work a little for a NA Carrera...

Thanks guys, helpful as ever
