hello everyone was coming back home last night and my headlights packed in on my 996 911 turbo side lights still worked when i pulled light switch out and high beam still worked when i used lever that flashes main beam but could not select main beam or low beam any ideas thanx

Both sides going at the same time rules out fuses, my guess is on the twist switch that you turn the lights on with. You need pin data to check whether it is switching ok or if someone is local to you try their switch on your car.

I agree with Lloyd. Light Switch. It's a VERY common problem.
