Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

good news and bad news..........
had a bit of wheel wobble so dropped the car into get the wheels balanced.....
Good news, wobble fixed and STS tyre pros are offering free nitrogen filling of all your tyres if your a customer..... Oooo i hear you cry! just like that your get fomula one tech in your tires - reduction in tyre wear and better mpg...yeah right!! :floor: believe it when i see it and its something allegedly for nothing..... :dont know: yeah i'm sure theres a catch somewhere!
Bad News......... with the car up on the ramps it was possible to see that bloody joint between the engine and clutch housing     its only done 27K, its round to autowerk tomorrow for a proper diagnosis but already i'm feeling a clutch and RMS lighter ..... :frustrated:
Update!
Autowerk diagnosis went as follows......:mechanic:
Up it went on the ramps and matt, martin (recent escapee from the closed norwich OPC) and myself walked underneath, matt looks at the area of the RMS...."when's it due for a service?'....."not till november sometime" i replied. "Well the clutch is starting to feel a little heavy so we'll have another look in november at the service. When the clutch needs changing we'll sort the seal - but thats not even dripping! Just damp. Dont worry about it!" he replied.
what a refreshing experience it is to do deal with a man like that
I hope that anybody reading this in the norfolk area would take their car to him if they need work done.....i hate to think what would have been the reply if i had taken it to an OPC...
Think you would get the same response from most independants. It's only when you have the OPC warranty that things get replaced at the first sign of trouble (which also happens to generate vast sums of revenue for Porsche and their dealers).
Mine was the same - damp. RMS had been changed several times.
So when at OPC for its service a couple of months ago - under warranty they duely did the necessary - only it wasn't the RMS apparently but the Intermediate shaft seal.
This worries me a bit - isn't this the one that if it goes its game over?
People tell me about Inetrmediate shaft seal failure.
It's actually the IMS bearing that collapses, allowing the shaft to flop around in the housing and then the chain jumps on the sprocket and then valves meet pistons.
