looking for sports exhaust at good price,found stainless highflow boxes for £499 at the porsche shop or oettles what do you guys think or recomend an does any esle hav the highflow boxes and if so what do they sound like
All I can say is that the Oettles sound like the PSE. Look through other threads on this topic a lot have said that the PSE sounds the best. That is why I got the Oettles and have never regretted 1 minute of it.
I fitted an oettle earlier this year, not heard a PSE yet but perfectly happy with the noise now. I've only managed one meet since fitting and the positive comments from TVR/Noble owners saying it's great at full chat is pleasing.
Plus he'll take your old exhaust's back if in good working condition, mine weren't unfortunately.

Does anyone have a view on the tubi system? Very keen to get a new exhaust but totally confused about getting the PSE or going aftermarket. Aware of the wararnty implication but want to make sure i get the right noise.

I put porscheshop 499 exhausts on my c4 cab and it sounds great not so loud but better than the original sound boxes were rotten at the seams!!! They were original stainless rear boxes from new so they dont last forever. At 500 quid they are a good buy I reckon.

I considered a PSE but not for a 10 year old, a trade off being the oettle from ebay. It's the back box with a bypass pipe welded on and apparently sounds very similar to a PSE, which is switchable.
A porsche racing outfit in the NE fitted it for an excellent price. Good luck whichever route you go down :thumbs:
+1. I fitted the Oettles for value for money. Fitted the rear boxes myself in under 2 hours. I had sprayed most of the bolts with WD40 daily for a week first. Replaced all the bolts and clamping sleeve which were cheap. Also got lovely Dansk tips with the money saved. The PSE/Oettles definitely sounds the best, but that is only my opinion. Others are loud but the PSE/Oettles give it the Porsche sound. You'll understand when you hear it. Best of all there is no boom inside the car.

Managed to track down the porsche salesman i dealt with a few years ago who was extremely good and very much into the brand. He since left and joined a firm called JZM which is a porsche specialist in Hertfordshire. He recomended a product from Europipes. See video at the below link:

Did those who bought the Oettles replacement mufflers/backboxes get them from eBay or direct from Oettles in Germany? They don't appear to be on eBay any more. However I have seen a similar company on there called Sommerfeld-TUNING, has anyone used these?
I got my Oettles off Ebay. I just googled Oettles there and they are still on the Ebay (Oettle Performance). Funny as the last time i searched for Porsche 996 Sports Exhaust on Ebay, only the Sommerfield ones came up.
