Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I just installed a CF EVO Front Strunt Brace about a month ago on my C2 Cab and do not feel a big difference.

For my Z3 it was recommended and installed with the car up whereas 2 independent mechanics meant that it doesn't matter when I got it for the 996, so it was installed with the car on the ground.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Guess you have a Coupe, so your car is already stiffer than e.g. a Cab. I just installed a CF EVO Front Strunt Brace about a month ago on my C2 Cab and do not feel a big difference.
I had one on my BMW Z3 Roadster some years back and was totally impressed as the handling got much better. But: the cars are not comparable as the 996 has a rear engine and a relatively short and light front end whereas the Z3 had an endless long front end with a heavy 6 in-line, so my suggestion is that you better invest the $$$ in a different mod.
BTW, I'm not sure about how a Front Strut Brace should be properly installed. For my Z3 it was recommended and installed with the car up whereas 2 independent mechanics meant that it doesn't matter when I got it for the 996, so it was installed with the car on the ground.
Not only are they substantial pieces that are ALREADY there. The brace is the same one used in the cup car! Do you need more than that? IMHO, this is the biggest waste of money you could spend on the car for a suspension mod since you already have it.
Ummm, you may be missing the point - I am talking about adding a Schnell-type front strut brace.
There is absolutely NOT one in my car. It's an aftermarket add-on mod.

Actually, there are two, one for each front strut tower. If you remove the plastic cladding covering the area between the shock tower and the firewall, you'll see them.
In below pic I marked the original 2 braces with red arrows and the added brace with a blue arrow. Obviously the added one does not add much stiffness as (1) it's not doing much different than the 2 original ones as its not placed anywhere else in the front end of the car and (2) the front end of the car is pretty light anyways.
For a rear engine car it's clear that a brace in the rear would be better but especially for the Cab, there's no space to mount one.
Here's a pic of the brace in my Z3 that really did a lot to improve the handling of the car as it has no hinges, is located where the engine weight is, the front end is very long, is the only brace there ... However, for the 996, the front strut brace doesn't do any good as nothing of above applies.
