Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

I'd also check with them that the rear spoiler operates as it should with no faults etc as it's raised in all the photos - I know this can be done manually with the switch but best to ask before you travel etc.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

have found what apperars to be my ideal TT but the millage is 58000 is this too high for a 2003 car or should i not worry as long as it has the right history http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-u...cleYearOfManufacture=2002&vehicleRegLetter=52

POST 2Original post

it wouldn't bother me as long as it had a robust history. The wheels arn't my taste TBH and would be refurbed straight back to standard if I bought it. Can't help but think metallic black would be better than solid too. I'd also check with them that the rear spoiler operates as it should with no faults etc as it's raised in all the photos - I know this can be done manually with the switch but best to ask before you travel etc.

POST 3Original post

In terms of reliability, a high mileage should not be an issue as long as the car has been maintained on time (it is worth checking who is the independent specialist who did the last service though). It is a well known fact that the engine in the 996 tt is bullet proof. In terms of resale value, as long as you plan to keep the car for several years and if you do not drive too many miles, this should not be an issue also.

POST 4Original post

hmmmm, loving the seats. Didn't know you could order colour coded seats? can't see how it could possibly be 107,000new??

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

it is a very nice car went and had a look at it yesterday got a slight dent in the passenger side front wing and front bumper which really reeds re spraying offered him £30000 but he wasnt having any of it

POST 6Original post

Please do not take it the wrong way but I think £30K is far too low for a car like this even with this mileage which is not very high. The price the vendor is asking for seems right to me. The prices of 996tt are going up at the moment, i am not sure for how long though.

POST 7Original post

I'm not bloody surprized! I hate it when people chip the price, just to get to the nearest tenthousand pounds. Pathetic. Look at cars that you can afford, rather than try and get people to drop their car to your budget. It needs a dent master removal and a nose cone respray and you've chipped him/her £3000.00!! I get this every day in my job and it does my head in.

POST 8Original post

And if he came in looking for a trade in you would suck in air through your teeth and tell him it needed a couple of new panels and a full respray because they colours are hard to match on a single panel and then offer him 27k

POST 9Original post

Let's face it, most people advertise at a higher price than they expect to get, in the hope that someone will come along and not negociate. Also, you can't increase the asking price if you get loads of interest. Personally, I don't think the offer was derisory. The seller can take it or leave it. He left it.

Have you been in my garage? Sorry for the rant. Too much red wine.
