Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In other words, unless you know your boost/intake system is 100% get it checked before wasting your money on a dyno.

Leading evidence: 'Check before wasting your money' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'possible maf issue(and/or sloppy actuator springs)' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Check before wasting your money' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suspected cause
If the boost starts to tail off quickly after 3,500 rpm then suspect a possible MAF issue(and/or sloppy actuator springs).

Suggestion
To get a predictable reading on the dyno you will need to disconnect the prop.

Have been told the ecu needs time to adjust and will produce more bhp??, as it was run a few times there was too much heat to get a accurate reading even with the cooling fans on.

Going to go back after a couple hundred miles for a re-run on the dyno.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm taking my car to my local dyno dynamics rig to have it run soo I can see exactly what it's producing, having 2 runs done first in stock form and the to see the difference with a Tubi sytem with high flow cats, what do you think will be the outcome?
I trust they have a professional quad roller system (front and rear axles)
... else I would expect a lunched centre diff or a Porsche shaped hole punched in the garage wall.
I'm no expert on this (or anything vaguely mechanical) but I thought on a 2WD rolling road system, you had to disconnect the driveshaft of the front wheels otherwise a disaster (as noted above) would ensue :?:
Without an ECU remap on non X50(re K16's) you should see another 20BHP with a safe ECU remap + 25BHP(total = 45).
Make sure the wastegates actuators are working correctly and opening at the correct bar. The tuner should have the tool that quickly opens the acuators. If nor ask why not
.
You also need to check your boost hoses and divertor values(std Bosch units are very problematic on >4 year old cars). If the boost starts to tail off quickly after 3,500 rpm then suspect a possible MAF issue(and/or sloppy actuator springs). The wategate will open at 0.7bar(stock for K16's) using the actuator pressure tester......any less and you have an issue.
If they are running these dyno tests make sure you have at least 30mins between each run as high temps in the intercoolers can kill the BHP.
What cooling airflow system are they using to keep the engine temp in check?
In other words, unless you know your boost/intake system is 100% get it checked before wasting your money on a dyno.
Hope this helps.
Okay.... Had the car dynod in standard form and came up with 420.5bhp, then added the tubi and a remap and got 462.1bhp?? Have been told the ecu needs time to adjust and will produce more bhp??, as it was run a few times there was too much heat to get a accurate reading even with the cooling fans on. Turbo boost has been increased from 0.7bar to 1.1bar feels totally different less turbo lag and the power deliver is phenominal! Going to go back after a couple hundred miles for a re-run on the dyno.
Scott you're right, even for a 4wd rolling road. To get a predictable reading on the dyno you will need to disconnect the prop. otherwise you'll have a bucking bronco Turbo. If I recall correctly from when my 4S went on in 4wd mode, there's a 400bhp limit on the DD, regardless of this it did a bloody good job of trying to throw itself off the dyno.
You do know their dyno is renowned for over reading.
Still a 40bhp increase isn't to be sneezed at, what was the torque figure as this is more important.
I went on a dyno run there and my car made 3hp less than at another dd 4wd dyno, albeit intake temps were higher plus a 997tt made 474hp so bang on the nose that day - hence no sure i agree the dyno overreads - not when i was there anyway. Having said that I was not impressed with their cooling arrangements or dyno print outs at all - no rpm x asis, no torque curve or plot, no afr's... hmm.
Having seen these guys at Paramount in action, I happily chose to take my car elsewhere...
