Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, My 6 cd changer doesn't seem to have any power going to it. IE the cd cart. doesn't eject when you press the eject button. The unit is a Becker Silverstone changer and the car is a 2000 996 C2 Cab. As there doesn't seem to be any power going to the unit I wondered if it could be a blown fuse? Any ideas where the fuse is for the cd changer? :?: If it's not a fuse, any other ideas? Cheers :thumb: Adam

POST 2Original post

I think there is a 3amp inline fuse in the cd lead at the rear of the stereo.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Great, cheers. I will investigate this :thumb:

POST 4Original post

Hi Adam. The CD cartridge worked when I bought the car 4years ago, but I never used it and after 3mths I had an ipod connector fitted which involves unplugging the CD connector leads from the stereo. I dont know if they just unplug the RCA leads or if there is a power lead that also gets unplugged? If you find a Meatloaf CD in there, its not mine... PS - if anyone is confused, Adam now owns my car.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok , cheers Josh. Looks like I will have to pop the stereo out to check the leads and\or the inline fuse mentioned. Do you know if it's possible to have the IPOD cable connected at the same time as the CD changer? :?: As to the meatloaf CD, I will return the CD to ya if I find it
