Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am considering selling one of my 930s and getting a GT3 or GT2. A 996 or 997 Turbo is probably better suited to my uses but I want a GT car. Can I put the back seats from a normal 996 or 997 into a GT3 or GT2? Before you scream sacrilege, hear me out. Is this a direct bolt in? I have 2 young children and my hope is that the family can all ride in a newer car, something not currently possible with any of my P-Cars... The 77 has a roll bar and no rear seats, the 76 930 has no rear seat belts, the 86 930 just doesn't have enough room behind the drivers seat for a car seat.

POST 2Original post

Anything can be done but the GT3 is truly a race car with plates. It is the least family-friendly of the modern WP Porsches and might quickly rattle the fillings loose on Calgary roads. May I suggest a 997 C4 or Panamera instead? They are the true GT cars of the modern lineup and both offer pretty stunning performance in the canyons and on the race track. Here is a converted GT3 for reference. Note the low stock ground clearance. A Porsche GT3 with back seats? Yea I know, weird right? - Rare Cars for Sale BlogRare Cars for Sale Blog

Thank you. That's exactly what I have in mind. The ride will be better than my street legal race car (23 and 30 mm torsion bars) and probably not a lot different than my 930s. I guess I better take one for a drive on the street, I have time in a GT3 at the track only.
