I spoke to Design911, they were confused themselves when they checked my VIN as they were expecting more options that just Porsche’s own.

I need to replace the front discs of my 2017 971 Panamera, there doesn’t seem to be any other options out there other than genuine ones from Porsche which seem to be setting me back £2k.

For consumables like brakes i wouldnt be using a main dealer.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I need to replace the front discs of my 2017 971 Panamera, there doesn’t seem to be any other options out there other than genuine ones from Porsche which seem to be setting me back £2k. Anyone here with any knowledge on these? There are Brembo for standard 971 but hybrid seems to be totally different. OEM number is 971615301J/ 971615302J. POST 2Original post

Design 911 have them for roughly half price https://www.design911.com/p/brake-disc-front-porsc... Google will get you a lot of results but you will need to do your own research. For consumables like brakes i wouldnt be using a main dealer.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I spoke to Design911, they were confused themselves when they checked my VIN as they were expecting more options that just Porsche’s own. I was hoping for a Brembo or similar.

POST 4Original post

It’s highly unlikely that they are a one off, but baffling. Maybe contact your nearest Porsche Independent Specialist and see what they know.
