An interesting story to read that very much echoes our own experiences with our toys:
Porsches, Babies & My Midlife Crisis
Good read, thanks for sharing Hassaan. It's amazing how one gets so attached to a car. My wife thinks I am crazy when she finds a closet full of detailing products, Porsche magazines and a wall full of 911 posters. She treats my Porsche as a second wife to her!

Sorry - I don't identify with this article at all. Granted he bought a red 996 everyday 911 and I bought a new red 981 BS.
It was a life changing event for me right from the start. My wife said that it really helped our marriage - especially after our ED experience. (I'm not kidding - she wouldn't allow me to trade it in for a 981 Spyder). Its a family member now and I have to keep it in the family forever. I do stop and stare at it when I walk away. Sometimes, I park it in my driveway and walk across the street with a glass of wine just to look hoping my neighbors don't notice me for fear of being branded arrogant. People constantly comment on the car....thumbs ups at red lights, how much did it cost question and how fast is it....probably 500+ times in the last 23 months. Admittedly, I don't have girls laying across my hood when I park it. In fact, girls rarely even notice or comment on the car - almost never. Four year old boys pay more attention to it than any female as they strain their mothers arm demanding to stop and take a longer look! Mom gives a brief smile and moves on...... I did have one experience when a drunken women half my age got into my car without permission, said nice car and asked me if I could drive her home. (not kiddin either). She freaked out when I took my hat and glasses off though.....lol. Damn, I wish I had this car when I was in my twenties!
This thread has made my morning. Thanks. My CS does not attract a lot of attention, living in a college town full of Mustangs and such a CS is not noticed. The real thrill is just going into the garage and seeing it, cleaning off the bugs from the drive back home, the corners, remiembering blowing by an
electric car with all the green stickers on the back struggling to make it up the steep hill, the feel of the seats on this old mans body. I am young again.
Had to read this twice, Subshooter...first time didn't realize you meant European Delivery.
