I'm on the hunt for some single round tips to replace my larger oval ones, and, cannot find any, anywhere.

Am surprised that only changing the tips has this much effect, but I guess it makes sense - if you changed the shape of a trombone, it would affect the sound.

Am not trying to make it look like a turbo (it never will) - its just the ovals were something that never worked for me.

Change the exhaust tips. I've gone from round to oval and the car sounds totally different. It sounds absolutely nothing like. It's much quieter with a completely different tone. Amazing what an affect just changing the tips has had.

I have bought some new (round) tips for mine, moving away from oval. I will be intrigued to see if they change the exhaust note.....

Have gone for a used set of tips, that came up on here - they are Dansk Turbo-look tips. Am not trying to make it look like a turbo (it never will) - its just the ovals were something that never worked for me.
I havent fitted them yet, as am midway through doing the brakeline over the gearbox. I will paint them matt black before I fit them.....
Ah that will look nice mate. Mine had twin round tips and was VERY loud and raspy. Without me saying anything people at work asked if I had done something to my car as it sounds completely different. The new oval tips have a silencer part. I bought motorcycle exhaust packing from eBay and packed the tips. The sound is so different. It now has a low tone and no rasp and if you wrong it out in the gears it has a lovely flat six howl. So chuffed at the results for £60 it's just nuts. Just need my wheel back from Royal now. Hmm what to do with the carbon wheel on it. Hmmmm.
Are they stock oval tips? I dont think my OEM ones have a muffler element.
Its great when you get the exhaust note exactly how you want it....I am still on that journey.
I'm planning to use BBQ paint - have read lots of people have had good results doing this. I will need to prep the tips first, so there is a key for the paint.
I'm intrigued by your description of the oval tips with a silencer part. Would you be able to share some pics of these that show the silencer & tip together, & some more details on packing these?
