Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I'm trying to remove the pulley from the generator/alternator and the manaul states that it can be done with a "standard commericially available tool" which I've never seen. It states that its a offset double ring wrench a/f 24 and screw driver insert for a internal serration screw a/f 10. Does any one know where I can find/purchase these? I'm looking for a local store so I can pick them up over the weekend...help... Thanks, Shawn

POST 2Original post

People usually use an impact wrench to remove this. You can muscle it off with a regular open end wrench or a socket wrench, but you need to stop the pully from moving !! If you stick a screwdriver inside the fans you can stop the pulley from spinning and loosen the nut holding it on.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
