Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

black stone guards on a arctic silver T4S Hey guys, I just replaced my yellowing "clear" stone guards with the black ones that I got from Suncoast! I love the new look!

POST 3Original post

I haven't had it out there yet, but I'll report back once I get the chance. I know one thing for sure, I will need to clean those more often as the black will show more dirt!! BTW, the clear/yellow ones were a smooth finish, but the black is a matte finish, which I actually like better.

POST 4Original post

I looked on Suncoast and I could only find clear, do you have a link for the black ones?

POST 6Original post

Thank You, did you just peel your old ones off and stick this over?

POST 7Original post

Yes, the old one just peels off. You will notice the grime that's left. Go ahead and clean most of it,but make sure you leave a little on top so you can line up the new one. The tinters at my dealership helped me with it, but you would be able to do t. Just make sure you spray a little water on the sticky side and the car then squeegee it out slowly. Make sure there are no air bubbles in there. The bottom, where the curve is a little harder, but just wait and make sure it's stuck onto the car. Make sure you don't over do it with the water. If you are not confident on this take it to someone that tints windows. I live the way it looks on the silver.

POST 8Original post

BTW, don't know why the title is what it is. But there's nothing "solver" about the car. weird.... Got it! suppose to by SILVER, not solver..... haha

POST 9Original post

To avoid leaving a bunch of glue behind, and any possible paint damage, use a clothes steamer to remove the yellowing paint protection film. I demonstrate the technique in this video: How to remove Porsche stone guards / clear bra - YouTube I also have my own matte black vinyl stone guard replacements. for 997 and 987 models.
